This DIY Saran Wrap Party Game Makes the Holidays So Much Better

The holidays may look at little different this year. So, why not have a fun game ready to go that will keep things fun!

A great one to try this year is called The Saran Wrap Game and, yes, we’re talking about the Saran Wrap you used to store your leftovers. The game is really fun, really simple, and best of all, it’s a DIY.

What is the Game?

The Saran Wrap game is a super fun challenge involving a HUGE ball of plastic wrap that’s filled with prizes. The goodies inside get better the deeper you get into the ball; so your $100 gift cards (if you want to be that generous!) would be in the center and the bags of cheap candy would be inside the first few layers.

What Do You Need to Play?

Obviously, you’ll need a roll of plastic wrap. The more gifts you want to add, the more rolls of plastic you will need (the average roll is about 200 feet long.)

You’ll also need prizes to pack inside. Goodies can range from candy to cash to toys to beauty products! You can theme the ball if you want, but definitely play to what your family will enjoy getting the most.

Lastly, you’ll need a pair of dice.

How Do You Play?

The person with the ball starts unwrapping while the next player rolls the dice until they roll doubles. Any goodies the un-wrapper comes across is theirs to keep! As soon as that person rolls doubles, they pass the dice but get the ball.

This goes along until all of the Saran Wrap has been peeled away, revealing the last prize. The last person holding the ball keeps the final prize.

Some families have made unwrapping the ball harder by blindfolding the person in the hot seat or forcing them to use oven mitts while they pull at the plastic wrap!

Your family is going to have a great time playing this “high stakes” game at your next holiday party! Everyone usually walks away with a little something and the pressure to unwrap actually gets really fun – just make sure no one gets too heated. This game might pit you and your relatives in a race against time to get the coolest prizes, but it’s still the holiday season, after all!

Not sure this game’s really as fun as we’re claiming? Don’t particularly believe the excitement level is what you need this Christmas? Then you have to watch another, quick incredible video of one family is REALLY into this game. We want to party with them!
