There are some celebrities who look amazing in a bikini because they put in the time at the gym. There are other celebrities who look amazing in a bikini yet claim they don’t work out. Salma Hayek is one of them.
Hayek recently posted a picture of herself in a bikini, and if she can look like that without exercise, it makes us want to know more.
In the picture, she is wearing a dark colored bikini with a striped coverup draped over her shoulders. She also wears a dark hat and sunglasses. She captioned the post “Ready for the week. Lista para la semana. #monday.”
While some of us may dread Mondays, Hayek is bringing the Monday motivation.
The post does not include Hayek’s location, but it seems that she’s somewhere tropical. The ocean is behind her along with a palm tree and lots of greenery.
Many of Hayek’s followers commented on the picture writing things like “beautiful” and “gorgeous.”
One person commented, “I wish I looked like you.”
While none of us should have a goal of looking exactly like someone else, we can understand being envious of Hayek’s toned physique. That leads us back to the question, how does Hayek stay in shape without working out?
Back in 2020, Hayek explained to PEOPLE, “Some people have the discipline to exercise in the morning, and I didn’t develop that.” She explained that it’s nearly impossible to find time to exercise because she’s so busy. She said, “I don’t have time to exercise. I am working. I’ve had some 20-hour days.”
Great. We can relate to busy. Thankfully, Hayek has discovered a way to exercise passively. She explained, “I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long. So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles.”
In case you’re wondering, that does not mean that it feels like you’re exercising 24/7. Hayek continued, “It’s restorative yoga. She taught me to tone [my muscles] without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you’re aware of your body, you’d be surprised by the effect it can have.”
Restorative yoga certainly seems to be working for Hayek!
