It is quite obvious that children look like their parents. Some more than others, some more when they become adults. In some families, kids look like miniature clones of their mother or father.
You might have a lookalike child yourself, and we also get to see this with celebs like Reese Witherspoon. Now, you know she and her daughter Ava look like they could be sisters. They look so much alike that you have to do a triple-take.
But Reese’s son Deacon with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe could also be a contender for twinhood. The 14-year-old has certainly taken after both parents, but when pictured with his mom and older sister, he too looks like a Reese Witherspoon mini-me. Genetics are something else!
Reese, a mother of three, loves to post pictures of her family on Instagram. She often gushes about motherhood and her hubby. The photo below was taken during her 41st birthday celebration last year. There’s no denying the strong resemblance here – same blonde hair, same eyes, and same smile.
She also shares a 5-year-old son with husband James Toth, though it is still a little early to see if he’s achieved doppelganger status yet. She’s extremely close with all three of her kids and even takes an annual “adventure trip” with her son Deacon.
In an interview with Ellen, Reese shared that during their last excursion, their trip hit a snag when their kayak overturned into icy cold Canadian waters. The two were camping and decided to take to the water when she accidentally steered the boat into a tree and flipped it. Luckily, their tour guide was there to save the day.
While comparisons are constantly being drawn between Reese and her eldest children, it’s fair to say they both look a lot their father too. The proud dad often posts photos of Deacon and Ava. Over the last few years, fans have gotten a chance to see how much these kids have grown up and look like younger versions of their parents.
If you remember the movie Cruel Intentions from the ‘90s, then you probably remember a young Reese Witherspoon starring opposite Ryan Phillippe. Comparing side-by-side pics of the kids with their parents will really highlight the resemblance. Reese has even admitted that sometimes people mistake her daughter for her.
It is close, but we think Deacon looks more like his mother. Either way, he inherited great genes from both parents! In another 10 years or so, it’s possible he’ll not only be taller, but also Reese’s second adorable twin. How cute would that be?
