Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Share Sweet Video of Reading Archie’s Favorite Book for His Birthday
In this case, Archie’s favorite book happens to be “Duck! Rabbit!” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. The book analyzes a photo of a duck (or is it a rabbit) by two narrators who can’t seem to agree on what they’re looking at. Though it’s the same photo on each page, the duck/rabbit drawing is an optical illusion that shows both animal shapes.
In the video, Meghan enthusiastically reads the book to Archie has he excitedly turns each page. She even refers to him as a new nickname we never heard before: Arch!
To make it even more precious, dad Prince Harry can be heard in the background of the video giggling along to the story time.
The video was posted to the Instagram account @savewithstories, which features various celebrities reading children’s books to a camera screen or their child sitting along beside them, as Meghan did. The account was created by actresses Amy Adams and Jennifer Garner.
While the stories are free to the public to watch, parents are able to make a donation to help Save the Children and No Kid Hungry make sure schools and community programs can ensure food for kids affected during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Millions of children in the U.S. go to school not just to learn, but also for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner,” the organization explains. “You’re also supporting our important work to meet the health, education and nutrition needs of kids in other countries impacted by coronavirus.” Anyone who’d like can make a donation here or text “SAVE” to 20222 for a one-time donation of $10.
