Imagine a movie being made about your significant other who passed away years ago. Imagine watching that movie for the first time and being so impressed by it that it made you feel emotional and brought up memories of what life was like when you were younger and happily in love.
The movie “Elvis” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Ahead of the premiere, Elvis Presley‘s wife Priscilla Presley watched the movie. She shared on Instagram that she watched the movie’s trailer “over a dozen times” and she has seen the movie as well. She shared, “I relived every moment in this film.”
On Facebook, Priscilla described what the movie is about. She wrote, “This story is about Elvis and Colonel Parker’s relationship.” Elvis is played by Austin Butler, and Colonel Parker is played by Tom Hanks. Priscilla added, “The story, as we all know, does not have a happy ending. But I think you will understand a little bit more of Elvis’ journey, penned by a directer who put his heart and soul and many hours into this film.”
Priscilla attended the Cannes Film Festival where the movie “Elvis” premiered. After returning home, she wrote about the experience on Instagram. She shared, “Baz Luhrmann’s Film, Elvis received a 12 minute standing ovation.” She added, “From my understanding, It was the longest ovation ever received for a film.”
