Prince William, and Kate Middleton Address Loneliness in Radio Address About Mental Health

Mental health. It’s something we’ve been hearing a lot about recently. Many people struggle with their mental health, some more than others, but the message is that there is help out there for people who struggle and if we suspect someone is struggling from mental health issues, it is important to be there for them.

There are many different mental health issues, but one that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided to address recently was the topic of loneliness.

It’s mental health week in the U.K., and as an end to the week, Prince William and Kate Middleton recorded a special message about mental health, and loneliness in particular that was shared on all public radio station in the U.K.

The message spoke about how the pandemic has caused all of us to realize how important it is to be connected to other people. Just think back to the days of lockdowns when the only way to communicate with friends and family who were not part of our household was to call or chat though Facetime or Zoom.

Besides addressing the topic of loneliness, the Duke and Duchess also spoke about things those of us who are not feeling lonely can do to help people who may be feeling lonely. They gave multiple suggestions that are easy to implement.
