Though they no longer come with weeks-long feasts (rude) and big dramatic life-long betrothals to end wars (okay, that’s probably a good thing), birth announcements from the Royal Family are still such a big deal. Even in the U.S., where we have basically nothing to do with the Monarchy, we still can’t get enough of the Royal Fam. These announcements are so much more than showing off a swaddle and saying, “hey, here’s a baby,” especially when the Royal family naming conventions and traditions run so deep and are given such an incredible amount of weight. So I’m not exaggerating when I say that I am SO VERY EXCITED to share in the joyful tradition of announcing the latest Royal Family Member! The daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the beautifully named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor has arrived!

As excited as I am about news of the baby, especially after the storm the family faced before their little rainbow arrived, it is definitely not lost on me how positively radiant, resplendent, and elegant Meghan looks and how happy both parents seem to be, beaming from ear-to-ear!
Were you excited about the news of the birth? Are you an avid Royal Family follower or is this the first time you’ve followed a birth announcement story from them? How do you feel about the cameo-full name of the little one? Let us know!
