There are a lot of commonly used phrases in this world. Some of them make complete sense. But some of them are rude, or may just irk you to no end for no particular reason.

Whatever the case, there’s no denying there are some pretty annoying phrases that come of out people’s mouths sometimes. In fact, there’s an entire Reddit thread dedicated to these.

No matter who says them, these are the ones from the thread that we couldn’t agree with more:

  6. “Work hard, play hard.”

    “Sorry, one trip paintballing a year doesn’t make up for 12 hour shifts as a slave in a collar.”

  7. “People are dying and you’re sad about this?”

    “Well yeah Karen, just because something is sadder doesn’t mean I can’t be sad about something else. Being sad is not something you earn

  8. “You’re so domesticated.”

    “No you sexist turd, I’m a grown man, I have my own house and I can look after myself.”

    “Go say that to people who have los babies due to miscarriage or SIDS or anything else. In fact, say it to anyone who ahs lost anyone or anything that mattered to them.”

  13. “Could have been worse.”

    “Yeah it could have been! It an always be worse. I can also be freakin’ better!”

    “Words hurt me sometimes.”

  15. “Same difference.”

    “Because you can use it between any two things and it’s still technically the truth.”
