Not Your Average Apple Puffed Pancakes

This dish is really something special, guys, and hard to pin down. What’s Up Moms describes it as a combination of a puffed pancake and flan. To us, it looks a little bit like a breakfast-friendly apple pie, and the method to make it is different than any way we’ve seen before. Take a look and tell us what you think of it!

You’ll Need:

– 6 eggs
– 1 cup whole milk
– 2/3 cup flour
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 3 tablespoons butter
– 3 large apples sliced
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon

How To:

  1. Beat the eggs in a mixer.
  2. Add the milk and beat.
  3. Add the flour and salt, and beat until combined. Set aside.
  4. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. When the oven reaches 425 degrees Fahrenheit, put the butter in a 9-by-9-inch pan and put the pan in the oven. Leave it there until the butter melts.
  6. Once the butter has melted, add the apples and put back in the oven until the butter sizzles.
  7. When butter is sizzling, pour in your batter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, until puffed and golden. Serve immediately.
