As Christmas songs rule the radio airwaves right now, you may be hearing stories of radio stations banning some songs that listeners have deemed to be sexist. Of late, Baby, It’s Cold Outside, has been a target.

It’s not the only holiday tune that people are questioning for lyrics they view as offensive or non-empowering to women. Another old-time hit is Santa Baby, seductively sung by both Eartha Kitt and Madonna.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show, Miley Cyrus gave the 1953 Christmas classic a modern revision with her own set of girl power lyrics. Deemed an update for the #MeToo era, the song is switched up to include lines like:

“Santa baby, I don’t need any fancy jewelry. Not me. I’ve got something else in mind. Don’t want diamonds, cash or stocks. Nothing that comes in a box. No more fluff, I’ve had enough. And I can buy my own damn stuff.”

In the skit’s intro, Miley is asking Jimmy about whether or not the song is about hooking up with Santa in exchange for all these gifts. If you’re familiar with the original, then you also know there’s a reference or two about being “a good girl” and these lyrics:

“Think of all the fun I’ve missed. Think of all the fellas that I haven’t kissed. Next year I could be just as good… if you’d check off my Christmas list.”
