First came love, then came marriage, soon Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be pushing a baby carriage.
The day of the royal baby’s birth is getting closer and closer. While we don’t know Meghan’s exact due date (due dates don’t mean much anyway), we do know that it could be any day now.
In preparation for her first grandchild’s birth, Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mom, has flown from her home in Los Angeles all the way to London. She recently arrived, and it looks like she will be staying awhile.
While Doria will not be permanently moving to London, she does have rooms set aside for her at Windsor Castle’s Frogmore Cottage. We don’t know how long she will be staying, but like any excited grandmother, we’re guessing she’s not quite sure either.
It’s reported that Meghan and her mother are very close. We imagine it much be a huge relief for the Duchess to have her mom nearby in the final days of her pregnancy.
Doria was the only member of Meghan’s family to attend the royal wedding, and since her daughter officially became a Duchess, she has joined her daughter during some of her royal duties. For example, she joined Meghan at Kensington Palace during a celebration for a cookbook the Duchess helped create to help people affected by the Grenfell Tower.
As the world waits not so patiently for the royal baby to be born, gage your expectation. Don’t expect the birth announcement to be similar to when Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children were born.
While Kate stood on the steps of the hospital for a photo op with her newborn shortly after giving birth, Meghan and Harry do not plan to do the same. However, they will participate in a photo op a few days after the birth of their baby on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
