With the royal wedding just a few weeks away, there’s been no slowing down on the obsession front for fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Adding to the endless stream of gossip and rumors already circulating is a new book!

Andrew Morton, the English journalist/writer who is perhaps best known for his biography about Princess Diana, will be publishing his book on Meghan Markle within the next two weeks. And no, she was not interviewed for the publication.

Excerpts of the book have been released and for the most part, Morton has nothing but glowing things to say about the bride-to-be. Entitled Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, it talks about her childhood, background, and love life. Morton wasted no time going into detail.

But the part that is capturing the public’s attention the most right now is how Meghan ended her first marriage to Trevor Engelson. The two started dating after meeting in a bar around 2004. By 2010, they were engaged when Markle landed her role in Suits.

The show was in its first season and her career was just starting to take off. Engelson, a producer and talent agent, was also very busy with his career and the pair tied the knot in Jamaica in 2011. By then, Meghan was spending much of her time shooting in Toronto.

Morton claims that their hectic work schedules and the distance contributed to the demise of their relationship. According to him, the biggest bombshell was that Meghan ended the marriage “out of the blue” in 2013 and even mailed her engagement and wedding rings back to Engelson.

In case you’re wondering where all this information is coming from, it’s reported that Morton had discussions with acquaintances of both Markle and her former husband. From the sound of things, they don’t keep in touch but there’s a chance Engelson may have some hard feelings.

However, it is possible he is trying to make lemonade with a new TV show. Deadline reported that Fox greenlit a pilot for a show helmed by Engelson and two other showbiz vets. Its storyline revolves around a guy whose ex wife is marrying a British prince and what their life is like sharing custody of their children.

How about that? A comedy with a royal family slant. We’re not sure about when the show is supposed to start filming or air, but it could catch quite the buzz.

Morton promises to drop more bombs in his unauthorized tell-all, including how Meghan was inspired by Princess Diana at a young age. In his opinion, the late princess would have loved her son’s choice for a bride.
