You know when you were a kid and your mom poured you a big bowl of Lucky Charms? Oh, the sweet, crunchy goodness.
Well, except for those tan-colored bits. Who really wanted those in their cereal? Sure, they were sweet and crunchy too, but it was nothing like the marshmallow pieces that Lucky Charms was known for. Maybe it was the lack of color or the fact that the marshmallows were so memorable, but you weren’t a kid unless you picked out all of the eight varying designs: hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, hourglasses, rainbows, and red balloons.
Well, ‘90s cereal fans, your childhood (and quarantine) dreams are about to come true. General Mills, the creator of Lucky Charms, has decided that they will be selling JUST their marshmallow pieces by the bag for a limited time. Called “Just Magical Marshmallows,” the bag contains solely marshmallow bits, and it is, in fact, completely magical.
“Lucky Charms is the only magical marshmallow cereal and I’m so excited to see that families across the country helped bring the magic back,” said Mindy Murray, the senior brand experience manager for Lucky Charms. “To thank our fans for helping us restore this magic, we’re celebrating the launch of the Just Magical Marshmallows with a spectacle that embodies the magic of Lucky Charms.”

The bags will be sold in six-ounce packages for just $3.99 a pouch, about the same price for that the entire box of cereal is sold. It’s a complete steal if you ask us!
Lucky Charms announced the exciting news via Instagram, and fans could not be more excited.
“NOW THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT,” someone wrote.
“You saved 2020,” someone else remarked.
“Stop it! My childhood dream finally happening!” another person commented.
We couldn’t agree more! While it hasn’t yet been announced where you can purchase these bags of Just Magical Marshmallows, Lucky Charms noted in their post that “the magic will peak in the coming weeks.”
Though this isn’t the first time Lucky Charms has offered a way to purchase just their marshmallows, this is the first time that they will be available to buy nationwide at select retailers.
We’re feeling…lucky! We couldn’t be more excited to get our hands on one of these limited-time pouches before they sell out! What was your favorite cereal as a kid? Did you use to pick the marshmallows out of Lucky Charms? Which one is your favorite shape?
