Divorce can be messy, stressful and seem to take forever. It has been 2 years since Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from her husband of 7 years, Brandon Blackstock. Two long years of fighting over issues like their Montana ranch and spousal and child support payments.

Blackstock used to be a manager, but he has said he wants to change careers to be a full-time rancher. He planned to use the couple’s Montana ranch for his business. The problem is that Clarkson bought the ranch, and only her name was on the title. After filing for divorce, she wanted to sell the ranch, but Blackstock argued in court that he needs the ranch for his new business.

Two years after filing for divorce, Blackstock has finally agreed to stop fighting Clarkson about whether or not he can live on the ranch. A judge told him he had to move out by June 1st. Reportedly, he has moved out even though he considered fighting that ruling.

Even though Blackstock moved out, the divorce battle may not be over. According to sources he “is always asking for more and being a constant thorn in her side.” We’re sure Clarkson hopes the battle is over.

Even though Blackstock is officially not living on the ranch anymore, he still plans to visit the ranch quite a bit over the summer. A source told popculture that Blackstock “will spend most of the summer in Montana and will have unlimited access to the ranch. He plans on traveling to Los Angeles to see the kids, but it won’t be on a routine basis.”

While living on the ranch, Blackstock was required to pay for the upkeep of the property, which was about $81,000 per month. In addition, he was required to pay Clarkson rent that totaled $12,500 each month. While that seems like a lot to pay, he could definitely handle it thanks to the hefty spousal support payment Clarkson is required to pay him each month. He gets $115,000 each month and will continue to get that amount until January 2024.

In addition to spousal support, Blackstock also gets child support payments in the amount of $45,601 each month. Blackstock and Clarkson have two children together, River and Remy. Clarkson has been awarded primary custody, but the children visit Blackstock in Montana one weekend each month.

Do you think Blackstock will end up moving closer to Los Angeles to be near his children? Do you think he will find another ranch to use for his ranching business?
