Kate Middleton Steps out in the Most Beautiful (and Flattering) Maternity Gown We’ve Ever Seen

Duchess Kate: she’s beautiful, she’s powerful, she’s kind, she’s beloved, and, in case you forgot, she’s currently very pregnant. Yep, the expectant mommy is set to have her third prince or princess in the early spring, a fact that, we for one, are really stoked about.

‘Why are you so excited to see the new royal baby?’ you may ask. Well, if you’ve ever peeped at pictures of her older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, you’ll quickly learn the answer to this question—she and her hubby’s kids are just insanely cute. This, of course, means that their newest will be just as cute, or possibly even cuter.

That being said, the mom to this soon-to-be royal kiddo is looking pretty cute right now herself—baby bump and all! Recently, she stepped out for a classy shindig in Oslo, Norway where she and Prince William were the guests of honor at the country’s royal palace. Yep, apparently, monarchs like to mingle with one another.

Royals—they’re just like us!

Except, they’re not like us all. Especially considering our Saturday nights usually consist of pizza and Netflix. Yep, they’re definitely not like us at all. But, we digress…

The official dinner in Oslo was a success; both royal families have been chummy for years, so it can only be assumed that everyone in attendance had a smashing good time.

And, while there may have been plenty of royal players in one room during the February 1st dinner, perhaps unsurprisingly, all eyes were on Duchess Kate herself. The momma had heads turning in, what we feel, is quite possibly one of her biggest fashion “hits” of all time.

Just check out this incredible dress for yourself…

The gown, which was made exclusively for the Duchess by one of her preferred fashion houses, Alexander McQueen, was designed by Sarah Burton. Burton has a long history with the royal, she was the one who created our 2nd all-time favorite gown for Kate—her wedding dress!

And, not unlike her 2011 Westminster Abby look, Kate is clothed practically head-to-toe in flowy fabric that manages to hug her curves in all the right ways, thus creating an incredibly flattering silhouette that looks great, even at 7 months pregnant.

The pale pink gown, which comes equipped with a stately cape, is adorned with crystal detailing that manages to both be sparkly and understated all at the same time. We think the entire look is almost an homage to the wearer herself—it’s classy, elegant, and feminine, while still being humble. Hats off to Sarah Burton for this look. She killed it!

It’s so wonderful to see the Duchess looking so happy and healthy in her pregnancy. And, although she is getting close to delivering, we do hope that she will grace us with at least one more iconic maternity look before she has her little prince or princess!

We’d love to hear your thoughts on Duchess Kate’s maternity style! Are you a fan of this Alexander McQueen maternity gown? What is your favorite Kate Middleton fashion moment? Do you think she will have a girl or a boy?
