How to Make Your Own Homemade Coffee Creamer

Coffee lovers take their java very seriously. From the best beans to the trendiest way to get your brew on, it’s all about making your coffee the best it can be. But, unless you like your coffee black, there’s more that goes into your morning cup ‘o Joe than simply coffee.

Milk, cream, or sugar are usually what you see added to your mug. Health fads have been encouraging people to nix the sugar and make the switch to nut-based milks, but what about cream?

While the most delicious cups of coffee often have a good helping of creamer in them, it’s not necessarily the best thing for you. Pure cream is heavy and full of fat and flavored creamers — although they’re delicious — have about a million additives to them. Just check the nutritional label on the back of a bottle of Coffeemate and you’ll see a slew of words you can’t pronounce.

And the rule of thumb is that if you can’t pronounce the ingredients, it’s probably not good for you.

So how can you get that cream taste without the unhealthy additives and ridiculous store price tag? You can make your own creamer, right at home, using only two ingredients!

The only two ingredients you need? Milk and sweeten condensed milk.

For your milk, you can use any kind you prefer. And if you’re eyeing that can of sweetened condensed milk wondering how THAT doesn’t have a million additives itself, let us reassure you: it is NOTHING  compared to those store-bought options. Most sweeten condensed milk only containers milk and sugar, which is pretty impressive, all things considered.
