If hot summer days have you dreaming about snow, winter wonderlands and Christmas, you’re in luck. It’s time to celebrate Christmas in July. Whether or not you actually put up a Christmas tree in the middle of summer, you can enjoy the festive sounds and sights of the holiday season via Hallmark Channel.

While Hallmark Channel has original movies year-round, they are particularly known for their Christmas movies. Each year we look forward to watching the Countdown to Christmas which often features an impressive number of original movies plus favorites from previous years.

Hallmark Channel knows that we often start dreaming about Christmas when it’s still months away, so their Christmas in July movie schedule is something we look forward to as well. The magic starts on July 9th, and on July 10th there’s even a brand new Christmas movie to kick off the festivities.

The new movie is called “Crashing Through the Snow.” It stars Amy Acker, Kristian Bruun, Warren Christie and Brooke Nevin. The movie description explains that Maggie “joins her ex-husband and his girlfriend Kate for a Christmas getaway in Aspen, where she meets Kate’s brother, Sam.”According to the movie description, “Maggie and Sam are crashing Christmas. When he proposes they team up against his sister’s perfect Christmas, neither of them are prepared for the blended family challenges that lie ahead.” 

In addition to “Crashing Through the Snow,” which airs on July 10th at 9/8c, there is a movie marathon all day July 10th and 11th. The marathon will consist of movies from the 2020 Countdown to Christmas schedule. These movies include “A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado,” “Christmas by Starlight,” “Christmas Comes Twice,” and “Love, Lights, Hanukkah.”

The festivities aren’t over yet! Hallmark Channel is calling July 18th “Soap Sunday.” The Christmas movies they air on this day while feature soap opera stars Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison, and Jesse Matcalfe.

The Christmas in July celebration wraps up on July 24th and 25th with one final Christmas movie marathon featuring favorite movies from throughout the years like “Christmas Under Wraps,” “Crown for Christmas,” and “The Nine Lives of Christmas.”
