Few things are as sad to see as an upset child. Especially your upset child. It’s only worse when there’s nothing you can do about it as a parent – you can offer toys and trips to the movies and ice cream after dinner, but there’s a good chance that nothing will settle them down. And then the crying starts and it’s all downhill from there. This little girl, Ellia, is no different; when she wakes up, she is very unhappy. Her storming into the living room, grumpy after her afternoon nap, turned into a viral video – but not for the reason you might think.

When she stomps into the living room, this little girl is clearly unhappy. She’s crying, her face twisted into a scowl and tears are streaming from her eyes as she stomps into the room. You can tell that this happens frequently in the household because her mom is clearly used to this grumpy wake-ups. And, luckily, mom Esther Anderson knew this was coming well enough to bust out her video camera.

She films Ellia stomping into the living room, crying. The little girl is making a beeline for her mom, presumably for comfort, but then you see that she has a little baby in her arms, you start to realize what might happen.

The cute little blonde girl crawls into her moms lap and goes right for the baby, who turns out to be her little sister, Tessa. Little Tessa is adorable, with tufts of dark hair and big blue eyes. Ellia seems to think so, too! She wraps her arms around Tessa and gives her a hug and she’s clearly calmed right down.

Clearly, this big sister loves her little sister more than anything! She is the only thing that can calm her down after her afternoon nap and that is seriously saying something.

After a few moments, Ellia is smiling, saying “aww” as she glows over her little sister. Her talking to little Tessa is so cute! She keeps saying hello and gushing over her; you can just tell by the sparkle in her eye. But things get even that much cuter!

In the cutest little voice imaginable, Ellia says: “I love her! I love her so much.”

It’s enough to make your heart absolutely melt. This baby is obviously the apple of her eye and she couldn’t have put it in a more adorable way! Hoda and Billy of the TODAY Show can barely contain how overwhelmed they are from the adorable display of affection between these two sisters. We hope that Ellia will continue to be a great role model and source of support for her little sister, and we hope that Tessa looks up to her big sister as much as her big sister looks up to her!
