There’s a Bar in Nashville That Lets You Enjoy Drinks in Rooftop Christmas Igloos

Everyone’s busy around the holidays. This time of year brings hoards of ugly sweater parties, cookie swaps, and so many other holiday festivities that it can be hard to keep up with all of them.

But if you can, we’d recommended squeezing just one more festive gathering on your calendar. If you live in or are traveling to Nashville an time soon, you need to add Bobby Hotel’s rooftop bar to your list of things to do this holiday season.

This place understands the struggle of the cooler temperatures and shorter sunny hours of winter time, and has created a holiday haven everyone is bound to enjoy.

The bar has provided actual heated igloos on their rooftop that you can hang out and enjoy drinks in! That’s right, your own personal “igloo,” except it’s warm, and you can get drunk in it.

And we’re not just talking your standard glass of wine. This place is known for their spiked hot chocolate, spiked hot apple cider, and spiked eggnog. Yum!

As for food, Bobby’s doesn’t disappoint either. Their small bites menu features an array of delicious sounding meats, cheeses, and snacks like short rib nachos and grilled man’oushe.

While the igloos obviously aren’t made of snow, they create an enclosed space on the rooftop that makes you feel like you’re actually inside of one. Inside are tables, chairs, pillows, even an electric “wood burning” stove—all the things you need to be comfy, not to mention the lights surrounding the rooftop bar are seriously magical.

Also inside the igloos? Card games you can enjoy with whoever you’re with. Eight of your friends are able to fit comfortably inside an igloo, though the bar says they’ll let you squeeze 10 if needed.

To make it even more magical? The bar has classic Christmas movies play in the background to set the scene even more.

The bar, located at 230 4th Ave. North surrounded by the Nashville skyline. It’s open Sunday though Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., plus Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

You can call 615-600-5400 for more details and to make a reservation, you can email [email protected], though they aren’t required. Igloos are first come, first served if a reservation isn’t made.

If you do reserve an igloo, the bar requires a food and beverage minimum starting from $400.

It’s truly like walking—er, sitting—in a winter wonderland.

People who’ve visited the heated igloos can’t get enough of them. “Spiked hot chocolate and dreamy globes. I’ll be here until winter is over,” one Instagrammer wrote.

“Nothing like a rooftop bar with igloos and a Christmas movie playing to get you into the Christmas spirit!” someone else posted.

Winter isn’t the only time this unique bar comes alive. The place totally gets into the summer vibe during the hotter months as well, with their rooftop pool available during the day and their bar turns into cocktail lounge with all the bourbon and champagne cocktails you can devour.

How cool are the heated igloos at Bobby’s? Do you think you’ll take a visit and test one out this winter? What’s your favorite thing to do this season?
