No childhood is quite complete without a little bit of sibling rivalry. If you grew up with brothers and sisters, then you know what that means.
Usually, people outgrow it and it gets diluted into friendly competition by the time everyone is an adult. Sometimes it goes that way, and sometimes it doesn’t. Because we are human, it’s also natural to bicker here and there with your family. And it can stretch into the elderly years.
We are sharing a perfect example of that by introducing you to a pair of feisty sisters nicknamed Gramma and Ginga. If you’ve never heard of them, you’ve been missing out. They fuss, they cuss, and they speak their minds without a filter.
Gramma, whose real name is Genevieve, is 103 years old and is the older of the two. She’s five years older than her baby sis, Ginga (real name Arlene), who is just as fresh at 98. And boy do they get on each other’s nerves.
Over the past couple of years, they’ve captured (and won) the hearts of the internet. While Gramma and Ginga have been fussing with each other and their family for quite some time, the grandkids decided to share their entertaining antics with the rest of the world.
Gramma’s grandson Frank first started posting videos of the sisters hanging out together and with other family members. Both of them are straight shooters, and have no qualms about dropping s-bombs, calling somebody an a**hole, or threatening to kill one of their descendants. And it’s so freaking adorable!
Gramma and Ginga, daughters of Italian immigrants, grew up in West Virginia and have some interesting tales to tell. Gramma ran off at age 15 to elope with her 16-year-old sweetheart, and stayed married to him for 58 years before he passed in 1988.
Ginga has also lived a love-filled life, having had 4 different husbands (so far) in her lifetime. Both ladies have grandchildren and great children who keep them busy.
Most of the videos the family posts to their YouTube channel revolve around them insulting one another, and they don’t hold anything back! Although Gramma and Ginga’s foul-mouthed rants and arguments have been going on for decades, the two sisters adore each other.
They don’t live together, but speak every day. Ginga calls Gramma every morning to check on her and they still hang out at home, church, the store, and bingo hall. It’s during some of these moments that Gramma is riding Ginga about getting on her nerves or being “dumb”, or Ginga is throwing it back at her.
They’re so charming that they’ve earned trips to meet up with Jimmy Kimmel and Steve Harvey. Look it up, that Ginga is a flirt!
