Walmart Is Selling Dr. Pepper Baked Beans and People Have a Lot of Opinions About It

There are a lot of famous flavor combinations in this world: peanut butter and jelly, lemon and lime, even pizza and pickles, but one the newest and most controversial one to have recently hit the market is none other than Dr. Pepper and baked beans. Yep, ever since Walmart began carrying this grocery oddity at the end of the summer, folks around the country have had A LOT to say about it!

The product, which is made by the Serious Bean Co., is available via Walmart’s website and in select stores. This is how the retailer describes the Dr. Pepper Baked Beans:

With its blend of 23 flavors, Dr. Pepper has long been a secret ingredient among top BBQ Pitmasters. The 23 original flavors of Dr. Pepper give this batch its name and its amazing flavor. Sweet and Sassy success. No preservatives. Seriously Delicious. Always original. Always bold. Always delicious. Sweet and a bit Sassy.

“Sweet and a bit Sassy.” That definitely sounds like an accurate description to us!

As with all bizarre retail items these days, it perhaps comes as no surprise that the Serious Bean Co.’s Dr. Pepper Baked Beans have been the focus of social media fodder ever since the product’s release.

Invariably, some people love the special beans…

…or, at the very least, really hate the THOUGHT of them!

We, for one, are pretty split on that wonky flavor combo. What do you think? Have you tried Dr. Pepper Baked Beans before? If so, are you a fan of the unusual flavor mashup?
