“Try the gray stuff, it’s delicious—don’t believe me, ask the dishes!”

Name that movie. Any Disney fan knows this is a line from Beauty and the Beast’s classic song, “Be Our Guest.” As we sing it in our heads, we picture Belle dipping her finger into some gray frosting-like substance as Lumiere dances around her with his candlestick friends.

Even if you’ve just seen the movie once, you’ve probably thought about how appetizing that “gray stuff” looks, even in cartoon form. Sure, we don’t really know what it is—“gray stuff” is a bit ambiguous—but weirdly, we want to have a bite of whatever the heck it is!

Well, now you can. Disney has released the recipe for its “gray stuff” so you can make it in the comfort of your home.

They typically serve “gray stuff” at the Beauty and the Beast-themed restaurants at the park, such as Be Our Guest at Disney World and the Red Rose Taverne at Disneyland. But with the parks being closed for the foreseeable future, Disney wanted fans to be able to bring a little Disney magic into the kitchen, especially if you have little ones at home.

This isn’t the first secret recipe the company has released since quarantining began. They’ve also told us how to make Toy Story Land’s grilled cheese and its deliciously dunkable cookie fries, among many others.

So what exactly is “gray stuff”? Truth be told, it’s basically a version of chocolate and vanilla pudding mixed together with some cookie crumbles sprinkled in. But man, is it way better than any other pudding you’ll ever have.

The best part about gray stuff is that it’s actually not very complicated to make. With just a few ingredients and utensils needed, you can whip this up with (or for) the kiddos in no time. The recipe is as follows:
