Disney Surprisingly Doesn’t Allow These 6 Things in Their Parks

Ah, Disney World. Have you ever been before? What an enchanted place! Your favorite classic cartoon characters like Mickey and Goofy are walking around the beautifully landscaped grounds. There are fun rides galore. There’s a castle, there’s ice cream, there’s music—it’s honestly pure magic for kids and adults alike.

You’d think that anything goes at Disney, but actually, there are some strict rules and regulations to follow at the worldwide parks. Don’t worry, it’s still the happiest place on earth, it just has some limitations.

So if you’re gearing up for a vacation to Disney, you’ll first want to read this list of things that are completely banned from the park first—and some of them are completely shocking!

  1. Certain clothing

When packing your outfit for Disney, be sure you don’t wear anything that drags on the ground, because they won’t let you in. Also, if you’re wearing clothing with multiple layers, Disney employees reserve the right to search you and can deny you entrance into the park if they find what you’re wearing inappropriate (it is, after all, a family park). Also, you may want to cover up any controversial tattoos, which aren’t permitted into the parks.

  2. Recreational devices

Things like drones, skateboards, scooters, toys that include a remote control—leave these at home because you won’t be able to bring them into the park. And honestly, you don’t need these, anyway! There are plenty of other cool things to do at the park than skateboard, you know? Also, toy guns or squirt guns are definitely a no-no as well.

  3. Animal food

You’re not allowed to feed any animals in the park, including the birds—so don’t bring any animal feed into the park, and don’t try to give them your leftover Mickey Mouse pretzel or funnel cake while you’re there, either. If you get caught, you might get kicked out!

  4. Folding chairs

Disney can definitely get exhausting walking around all day, so you might want to bring some kind of folding chair to open up and rest your feet midday while your kids are swirling around on the tea cup ride, but these aren’t allowed. The only exceptions are a mobility aid or cane-chair. Other than that, folding chairs are strictly on the restricted items list.

  5. Your pet

Sorry, but your dog or cat have to stay home while you’re at Disney. You’re allowed to bring your service animal of course, but other than that, you have to leave your furry friend behind.

  6. Smoking products

Any tobacco, e-cigarettes, juuls, vapes, you name it—any item that produces a vapor or smoke are actually technically allowed into the park, you just might have to scout out designated smoking areas. You’re not allowed to smoke in certain areas.
