Dancer Recreates Iconic Final Scene From ‘Dirty Dancing’ In His House By Playing Every Character
Have you ever been so bored that you decided to learn an entire song? What about an entire dance? Quarantine is doing some crazy things to people who are bored in their homes—but the good news it provides some solid entertainment for us!
One dancer named Quinn Wharton decided to learn the entire iconic Dirty Dancing dance between Baby (Jennifer Grey) and Johnny (Patrick Swayze), we see at the end of the movie. (Yes, the one with the famous lift at the end to the song “Time of My Life”!)
What’s so special about that? Plenty of people have memorized the dance in the past. Well, this man literally decided to not only learn the dance, but everyone’s role during that scene. In a short clip he recoded, he plays every single character who makes an appearance in the movie.
While his role is predominately Johnny—mimicking every single hip sway, arm caress, and booty shake in the film—he always plays Baby’s mom, dad, and screaming guests in the crowd that we see in the movie. But perhaps the biggest star of the show is Baby—or shall we say a single white floor lamp with a broom at the end of it.
In the video, Quinn dances around his living room to the famous song, adding the real clip of the dance below. He completely nails not only the dancing, and doesn’t miss a beat being everyone else in the scene as well.
It’s truly one of the most hilarious things we’ve seen all day—and if you’re a Dirty Dancing fan in need of laugh too, you better check out the video below!
What do you think of Quinn’s dance skills (as well as his ability to be every character in this scene)? Have you ever tried to learn the Dirty Dancing dance?
