Being a parent is hard work, like, really hard work. Besides the obvious, like paying for everything, changing diapers, waking up much earlier than we’d like, and dealing with temper tantrums, one of the things that makes it so hard is that as parents, we are constantly trying to protect our children.

We’re not saying you have to be a helicopter parent, but especially with small children and babies, it’s the responsibility of the parent to make sure that the child is safe. As parents, our children’s safety is always on our minds, and it can be stressful.

We have to make sure there aren’t any small toys like LEGOs near little children who put everything in their mouths, because choking hazard. We have to keep sharp objects away from little children. We have to make sure our little ones don’t open the oven, touch the stove, or basically, they’re safer if they aren’t in the kitchen at all.  

With all the stress that comes with being a parent trying to keep a child safe, one dad has come up with a unique way to deal with it. Basically, he’s photoshopping his little girl into potentially dangerous yet sort of believable situations. Why? To scare his relatives.

Each of these photos really made us do a double take. Some are completely ridiculous, like you wouldn’t let your child hold a knife in the kitchen and pause to take a picture of it, and you wouldn’t let your baby drive your car.

 

Some are a little more realistic. We could totally see a child finding himself or herself in a precarious situation over the stairs, and it makes our hearts stop for a second until we remember this is only photoshop.

A lot of these photos put our biggest fears into pictures. How would your family react if you photoshopped your child into situations like these?
