She Carves a Hole in an Apple. When We See Why? So Clever!

For as long as we can remember, candied apples have always been an extra-special, autumn-only treat. That still holds true, and this year, we’re saving them for Halloween— and making them even more appropriate for the scary-fun day. Cooking With Karma shows how to take a basic candied apple and make it a creepy-crawly treat kids will love and adults will admire. Check out how to make your own spooky treats!

You’ll Need

– 4 Granny Smith apples
– 2 cups sugar
– 1/2 cup glucose syrup (or corn syrup)
– 3/4 cup water
– Food coloring, red and black
– Caramel flavoring (optional)
– Twigs, cleaned and de-barked

So creepily fun! It kind of reminds me of the apple from Snow White! What do you think of it? Will you make these for your next Halloween party? Have you ever made candied apples at home before?
