Christie Brinkley Shuts Down an Ageist Troll Who Recently Said She Looked “So Old” on Instagram
Recently, Brinkley posted a photo on Instagram where she was appreciating nature, specifically berries. The photo is beautiful, and so is Brinkley.
The majority of the comments on the photo were positive. For example, one follower wrote, “’Simply the Best ‘🎶You’re Berry beautiful Christie 💚💜💙Mother Earth ,the animals and all of us are grateful for you🙏 Have a de – vine day.”
Another comment reads, “You are such an inspiration @christiebrinkley I love seeing your journey and hope to make the same positive impact that you have been making.”
One follower apparently felt the need to say something negative about Brinkley’s appearance. This person wrote, “You’re looking SO OLD.”
First of all, didn’t anyone ever tell this person that if you can’t say anything nice you shouldn’t say anything at all? Second, she doesn’t look old to us!
Instead of ignoring the comment, Brinkley did something better. She replied, and it was perfection. Brinkley wrote, “I feel so lucky to have reached my age in good health. Especially today with COVID-19 ravaging the world, millions are not so lucky.”
Way to turn something negative into something positive! We applaud her positive attitude and her refusal to let a negative comment get to her. Brinkley definitely proves that age really is just a number.
