Bleach-Stamped Clothing is a Total Game Changer

Cleaning out your closet? Don’t throw away those boring, plain dark shirts (or other clothing items) yet. You probably didn’t realize you could completely transform this clothing with a little help from bleach and a stamp. Using this incredibly creative technique, Hey Wanderer Blog was able to turn a boring basic into a fun tank top that’s perfect for warm weather.

The best thing about this DIY, however, is that you can be creative! You can stamp all over a shirt or add some cool detail to otherwise boring pants. But don’t stop there. You could add character to pretty much any fabric (think curtains, tablecloths, placemats, etc.). The possibilities are truly endless.

Here’s what you need:

-Scrap pieces of felt
-Some rubber bands
-Bleach
-A container big enough to hold stamp pad
-A stamp
-A piece of cardboard
-Fabric

And here’s how it’s done:

  1. Stack your small felt pieces on top of each other. Then fold them in half. Secure the in the folding position if a few rubber bands.
  2. Place your stamp pad in your container, then pour bleach liberally over it, completely soaking the felt.
  3. Use your stamp pad just like you would ink. Be sure that you don’t overload it when you dip it. Just touch the stamp pad lightly, but firmly enough to coat the stamp with bleach.
  4. Put a piece of cardboard underneath the fabric you’ll be stamping. Then stamp away however you’d like!
