3 Homemade Cleaners for Wooden Furniture and Floors

Is your wooden furniture looking a bit worn out and sad? Breathe new life into it with natural ingredients on the cheap! Here are 3 cleaning, polishing and restoring recipes to try out on your wooden furniture and floors:

DIY Wood Polish

If your wooden furniture is starting to look a little worse for wear, try this recipe that only requires 1 lemon, some olive oil and water. Add the ingredients together until emulsified like salad dressing and then use it, with a microfiber cloth, to wipe down your furniture.

Natural Wood Cleaner and Restorer

Restore tables, door posts, cabinets and more with this recipe. Mix together 1 cup of water and one cup of vinegar in a spray bottle. Add in a tbsp of olive oil and mix well. Spray the mixture directly on surfaces and wipe down with a rag. Make sure to shake this cleaner frequently since oil and vinegar will separate.

Wood Floor Cleaner and Polish

Give your wooden floors some new life with this recipe. Mix together, in a large bucket, a gallon of hot water, 3/4 cup of olive oil and 1/2 cup of lemon juice. Add to your floors and mop. There’s no need to rinse after – just let it dry on its own!
