10 Must See Kitchen Gadgets Put To The Test

Our chefs have been busy. They know how much time it takes to prep and create a mouth-watering recipe.  But are there any kitchen gadgets that could help and deserve a spot in our already crowded pantries and kitchen drawers? Do any actually cut prep time and get food on the table faster? We put these ten promising kitchen gadgets to the test— and not all of them won our hearts.

Four of the ten gadgets truly stand out: the corn stripper, pineapple corer, meat claws and citrus sprayer were all voted as the most practical. Our judgments came down to the time-saving gadgets that will actually make your life in the kitchen easier and prep faster.

10 Must See Kitchen Gadgets

  1. Pineapple Corer

This works like a corkscrew. With this spiral sliced pineapple cutter, you simply cut the top off of the pineapple, attach the handle to the slicing device and twist the cutter into the fruit.

  2. Grillaholics Meat Claws

Shredding smoked meat has never been easier than with these meat claws. Out of the ten products we tested, this one was by far our favorite.

  3. Mango Slicer, Splitter, and Corer

With one simple movement, this gadget removes mango seeds and slices them in half. Looking for an easy way to add mangoes to a salad? Even ripe mangoes can be sliced up with this device.

  4. The Golden Goose Egg Scrambler

Did you wake up craving an egg salad sandwich? We tried the Golden Goose Gadget and decided the old-fashioned way of scrambling eggs is just fine by us. Don’t waste your money on this gadget.

  5. Herb Scissors

This gadget does save time. We also love that it doesn’t crush delicate leaves. So if for the first time you actually (successfully!) grew herbs in the garden and want to use them in a sauce, you’ll likely give this five stars.

  6. Citrus Sprayer

Just screw the sprayer into small and large fruits. We used lemons here in the video. And this is another one of our fave gadgets from the list.

  7. Chef’n Kale, Chard, Collard Greens & Herb Stripper

We used this gadget with kale in the video. It does remove the leaves in seconds, and we’re confident it will work with woody herbs, as promised in the product description.

  8. Astro Fruit & Veggie Keeper

We turned to little astronauts to protect and store our tomatoes. This is a nice to have but not a need to have gadget!

  9. Corn Stripper

This easily strips corn of kernels in one twisting motion. Our chefs were familiar with this gadget, as it’s not new, but thought it still deserved a spot in the challenge.

  10. Pizza Scissors

These scissors do work better than pizza cutters. Each piece was cut perfectly.

With so many specialized kitchen gadgets available, we hope this helped you determine which of them are worth taking up space in your kitchen drawer.
