As the weeks whittle away, the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first child is coming soon. During the past few months, they’ve stayed in the news about the duchess’s baby shower, the baby’s gender, and the couple’s newly launched Instagram account.
This week, royal fans received a personal thank you message from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex via their IG page. The mere mention of “Baby Sussex” has sent some into a tizzy:
Members of the public are known to send gifts to the royal family “just because,” but when it’s a special occasion such as Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, Christmas, a wedding, or impending birth, those gifts pile up. Prince Harry and Meghan politely asked that they refrain from sending gifts for the baby and instead donate to charity.
The request was not unheard and thanks to the generosity and goodwill of royal fans, many charitable organizations benefited. Although Kensington Palace announced that the baby’s birth will be kept under wraps at the wishes of the couple, that hasn’t stopped some royal watchers from being on the lookout for a birth announcement.
The thank you message mentioning “Baby Sussex” had some on edge who were expecting to hear baby news. Caught up with baby fever, fans were tickled that it was the first time the duke and duchess said “Baby Sussex” publicly.
It is also being speculated that Meghan could be running the social media account herself due to little things like American spellings and phrases of certain words in the Instagram posts. Keep an eye on the account yourself to hear more!
Are you a royal watcher who calls the baby “Baby Sussex?” Will you be happy once the baby announcement is made? What do you think of the thank you note?
