In the modern age, what does it mean to be husband and wife? While there used to be clear roles for men and women, things have changed a lot over the years. Traditionally, women would stay home to cook, clean and take care of the kids while men went to work. Now, in many households, both husband and wife, cook, clean and work full-time jobs.
In order for a marriage to be successful, it is important for both partners to be on the same page about expectations. If the husband assumes his wife is going to do all the cooking and cleaning he will most likely be very wrong, that is, unless he marries Brylea.
Brylea tweeted about how she might be “old fashioned, but I was raised to take care of my husband.” Then she went into detail about what exactly “taking care of my husband” means. Basically, she would do all of the traditionally female household duties including cooking and cleaning. She even wrote that she would “make sure he’s up for work the next morning.” Apparently, she wants to be an alarm clock too.
Brylea did not mention anything about children, but based on her other comments, we can only assume that she would plan to be a stay-at-home mom who would also make sure the children are up for school.
Many Twitter users were outraged by Brylea’s tweet. They found it “cringe worthy” and said that she was basically describing being her husband’s mom.
This is most cringe worthy tweet I’ve seen in awhile. Put it right there with “I can’t wait to see my husband destroy our kids on a tube” and the ”I can’t wait to pregame with my husband in the parking lot at our daughters dance recital”

So you were raised to parent your husband

Then there were the few Twitter users who stood up for Brylea pointing out that she was just sharing what she would do and wasn’t try to say that anyone else had to do this for their husband.
This is the realest response. Everybody’s situation is different. Being a good wife really has nothing to do with housework. Guess who primarily does the cleaning in my house? Hint: It ain’t me.

i thought feminism was abt letting women have the power to choose? as far as i can tell this lady aint trying to push her agenda on anyone. its just her own values affecting her own life.

Did you find Brylea’s tweet offensive? Do you think it’s okay for a woman to choose to take care of her husband? Do you think men want a wife who treats him more like a child than a husband?
