While clowns are sometimes a fun whimsical character that performed at kid’s birthday parties, more people are actually afraid of them than like them. In fact, Americans say they’re more scared of clowns than they are climate change, terrorism, and death! That’s according to a 2016 poll by Vox and Morning Consult.

That said, the chances of you knowing someone with coulrophobia (the fear of clowns) is pretty high, and there’s a pretty great (terrible) way to scare the pants off them this season. Hurts Donut, known for their unique donut flavors (and marketing in general, clearly) has just announced that you can hire a clown to deliver someone of your choosing donuts.

That’s right—a white-faced, red-haired clown donning a one-piece and boat shoes will come and ring your friend’s doorbell, barring a dozen donuts and balloons. If that doesn’t say creepy, we don’t know what does!

The company announced they will be starting their creepy clown delivery service on October 1, just in time for Halloween. Trick or treat has a whole new meaning!

“We always try to keep up with trends, and clowns are trending right now,” said the shop’s owner Kas Clegg. “It’s fall, and it’s getting close to Halloween, so we just wanted to spice it up a little bit and do a super fun delivery. We just love scary clowns.”

How scary can clowns really be when they’re bringing you a maple bacon or fruity pebbles donut anyway? Check out their 70 varieties of donuts. Your friend is bound to forgive you once they realize they’ve been gifted the deliciousness of a lifetime. All 19 locations will be participating in the services.
