We have seen a lot of very odd home decor choices. For example, there was one house that used to be a jail. Then another house that looked like a cemetery. Then there’s the whole idea of an open concept bathroom which we will never understand.
Even though the homes we just mentioned are all very unique, the real estate agent was able to put a spin on each description to make the homes seem appealing to potential buyers. You know a home is particularly unique when a listing agent starts out the description with the words “Unique is an understatement!” There is a house for sale in New Hampshire where a listing agent started the description with those exact words.
A description that starts out by description a home as unique makes us want to immediately look at the pictures instead of reading any more of the description about this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, but humor us. The description goes on to explain, “This is one of a kind passive solar contemporary/ monolithic Concrete dome- affectionately referred to as the Flinstone/ Hobbit / Igloo/ Starwars House- known for durability and efficiency!”
The bedrooms look pretty normal and tranquil.
The bathroom does not look nearly as appealing as the bedrooms. Those exposed pipes and the strange position of the toilet are pretty odd design choices.
The main living space is every bit as unique as the exterior.
This home has a listing price of $274,900. It’s set on 5 acres and even has its own barn. If you’re looking for a remote country setting and a very unique home in Canterbury, New Hampshire, this could be it. As the listing agent wrote, it’s “anything but cookie cutter!”
What’s the most unique home you have ever seen? Would you ever consider living in a home that’s “anything but cookie cutter” Would you ever want to live in a home this unique?
