In December, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, the DJ on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” committed suicide. He left behind his wife, Allison Holker, and their children.

Since the death of her husband, Holker has not spoken publicly; however, now, about 2 months later, Holker finally broke her silence.

Holker chose to share words of gratitude and inspiration on Instagram. In a video, she talked to the camera in a calm way as she thanked fans and followers for “all the love and support.” She explained, “It has been very challenging and emotional, but you guys have brought so much hope and inspiration to us by sharing stories and memories and moments and different ways that Stephen impacted your life.”

Holker went on to explain that her late husband “lived his life from love and he made you feel a certain way.” Then she shared her family’s “purpose.” She explained, “My family and I have always said that we wanted to make sure that our purpose was lived out by bringing joy to people, joy to people’s homes, you know, from dance or love and that’s not going to change for us.”

In the video, Holker admitted that even though her family still plans to bring “joy” through “dance or love,” “it’s gonna feel a little bit different.”

Towards the end of her video, Holker switched gears to send a message of hope to everyone watching this video. She explained, “I hope you guys remember how special you are, and how much of an impact you make around the world and continue to move from there. We love you guys.”
