Now that Halloween is over, are you and your kids left with more candy than you know what to do with? If simply eating all of the candy until it runs out doesn’t appeal to you, check out some of these creative ideas for making use of the stockpile:
- Freeze most candy for up to a year to make it keep.
- Use your leftover Halloween candy in your Christmas baking, or in your gingerbread houses.
- Use grated or chopped up chocolate from candy bars in place of chocolate chips in cookies or muffins.
- Decorate homemade cupcakes with a mini candy bar or a Hershey’s kiss.
- Make Christmas goodie bags full of assorted leftover Halloween candy. Great for kids, adults, co-workers and neighbors.
- Pour into a decorative bowl on your coffee table for guests to enjoy.
What do you do with leftover Halloween candy (besides devour it, of course)?
