It used to be that you had to wait until Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, to find steep discounts on popular products. Many people still get up super early in the morning and even camp outside stores for hours before they open to save on must-have gifts on their holiday shopping lists, but times are changing.
You no longer have to wait until Black Friday to get amazing deals especially if you like to shop online. For several years now, stores have been opening their doors in the afternoon or evening on Thanksgiving day, and many more stores are offering online deals starting Thanksgiving morning.
Attention Walmart shoppers: If you’re looking for great deals, and if you prefer shopping from the comfort of your smartphone or computer, you don’t even have to wait until Thanksgiving. The deals have already started at Walmart.com. That’s right. Walmart.com started offering deals on November 8 at 12:01am E.T.
As far as official Black Friday deals, Walmart is starting those earlier than ever this year too. Instead of waiting until Thanksgiving morning to find the best deals at Walmart.com, the deals will start at 10pm EST on Wednesday night, Thanksgiving Eve. That’s two hours earlier than the company has ever started their Black Friday deals before.
If you plan to shop in-store, Walmart is going to have “Checkout with Me” associates placed in key areas of their stores to make your shopping trip more convenient. These associates will be wearing a bright yellow sash so that you can find them easily. Popular departments like toys and electronics will also be color-coded so you can find what you’re looking for quickly.
