Have you ever had bread pudding before? This traditional English dessert was originally invented as a way to use up stale bread, a wonderful way to make a treat out of being frugal! Now, it’s not only a way for you to do the same, but to satisfy a sweet craving with ingredients you’re pretty much guaranteed to have on hand. The best place to learn how to make it? Gemma’s Bigger Bolder Baking, of course, where her mom is visiting to tell us all about it and share the recipe.
Classic Ingredients

The full, printable recipe is on Gemma’s Bigger Bolder Baking site, so be sure to head there for your copy. Mammy Stafford is also there sharing tales of learning this recipe from nuns and schools, and there’s even a photocopy of the old original recipe, so definitely check that out! Fun and fascinating!
