Summer is upon us, which means it’s time once again for picnics, barbecues, and – one of our favorite things to do in the lovely weather – camping! There is nothing like camping to really make you appreciate nature and take in all the great weather after months of staying indoors eating everything in sight and binge-watching Netflix.
One of the best and worst parts of the camping? The tent. While the tent is kind of your home while you’re out camping, it can be a fairly miserable experience to put up and take down depending on what kind of tent you have. And while being exposed to the elements is half the fun of camping, your regular tent has you really exposed on the ground.
If it rains, for instance, that mud and water is coming for you (unless you’re a seasoned pro and you have a water-proof tent). And those creepy crawlies on the forest floor? They also have a tendency to try and crawl into your tent.
So if you love to camp, but hate these little nuisances of the tent life, then you’re going to love this amazing invention just as much as we did!
This tent is not just a tent. It’s a tent that TURNS INTO A HAMMOCK. It’s called the Lawson Hammock and it’s every solo-camper’s dream come true.
It looks like a regular tent and can be used like a regular tent, but if you’re not interested in mud or bugs sleeping with you, it can also be suspended from the air to make a sleep-in hammock.
Although this two-in-one tent only weighs 4 pounds, it can hold up to a few hundred and is also made of bug-proof, rain-proof materials. Plus…sleeping in a hammock in the middle of the woods sound heavenly. Think of that view!
