She Puts Mini Chocolate Chips on Her Chocolate-Covered Strawberries. The Reason Why Is So Clever.

All those strawberries we ate this summer are coming back— as ghosts. Luckily, they’re definitely more on the adorable-and-friendly than the spooky-and-scary side, and – more importantly – they’re edible, too! These adorable strawberry ghosts come to us from Cathy Diep, and they’re just about the easiest and cutest way to satisfy sweet teeth this Halloween without resorting to regular ol’ candy. Watch how simple they are to make!

You’ll Need

– Fresh strawberries, washed and dried
– White chocolate chips, for melting
– Mini chocolate chips, for eyes and mouth
– Veggie oil (will help the chocolate stick to the strawberry better, and adds a nice gloss coating)

Just melt down the chocolate in a double-broiler, mixed with the vegetable oil for extra stickiness and gloss. Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate, add the mini chocolate chips to make a face, and voilà! Instead, adorable, edible ghosts. What do you think? Do you love this idea as much as we do?
