Sophie Turner Shares Simple Yet Effective Message for People Who Won’t Mask Up in Public

It sometimes seems ridiculous that at this point in the pandemic there’s any sort of debate about whether or not it’s a good idea to wear a face mask in public. Back in March, not everyone was on board with face masks, but we know a lot more now.

There have been numerous studies that have proven that face masks are effective at preventing the spread of COVID-19, and that’s important. While not everyone gets deathly sick from the novel coronavirus, some people do, and you never really know who that will be. A face mask is an easy and effective way to protect ourselves and those around us.

Multiple people have been kicked out of stores or denied service because they refused to comply with the business’s face mask policy. Meanwhile, numerous experts have emphasized just how simple and important it is to wear a face mask. Bill Nye even posted multiple videos about it on TikTok.

Now, Sophie Turner is spilled the tea about face masks. You probably recognize the actress as Sansa Stark from “Game of Thrones,” but in real live she’s married to singer Joe Jonas, and she recently became a mom.

Turner and Jonas welcomed their first child into the world over the summer in the middle of the pandemic. While she was at the hospital giving birth, Turner was required to wear a face mask.

If you have ever given birth to a baby or have been in the room when a friend or family member was giving birth, you know that it can be painful, stressful and exhausting. Of course, it’s all very much worth it to welcome the little baby into the world, but childbirth is often far from easy.

Turner was required to wear a face mask while she was at the hospital. This probably does not come as a surprise, but have you ever thought about how difficult it might be to wear a face mask while you’re in labor? Turner knows first hand, and she survived.

Turner has been encouraging her fans and followers to wear face masks in public since March, and she definitely has not changed her stance. In fact, she has a new perspective on it which she shared in her Instagram stories. She explained, “If I can wear a mask while giving birth, you can wear a mask at Walmart.” She ended the short video with her catchphrase, “And that’s the tea.”
