One week ago, actor Jamie Foxx posted a video on Instagram showing himself on an impressive looking yacht. He looked perfectly healthy and seemed to be enjoying his life to the fullest.
One week later, the situation is quite different.

Yesterday, Corrine Foxx, Jamie’s daughter, turned to Instagram to share some sad news. She shared a statement from “The Foxx Family.” She wrote, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.” Due to the timing of her post, “yesterday” would have been Tuesday April 11, 2023.
The statement continues, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” She concludes the message by writing, “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

TMZ notes that recently Jamie had been in Atlanta where he was filming a movie called “Back in Action.” The film also features actresses Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz.
According to a source who spoke to TMZ, Jamie was hospitalized for the “medical complication,” and his condition was so bad that his family came to visit him at the hospital, even family members who had to travel from out of town to be there.
A source confirmed to TMZ that Jamie does seem to be doing better than he was. The source said, “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.”
Details about what exact medical condition Jamie experienced and whether or not he had any symptoms before the sudden event on Tuesday are not yet known at this time. It is also not yet known how much longer he is expected to be in the hospital and if or when he will return to work on “Back in Action.”
According to a source who spoke to CNN, the hospital where Jamie is being treated is located in Georgia. Nothing more has been disclosed at this time.
