Ricki Lake Reveals That She Got Hitched Over New Year’s Weekend

Ricki Lake first met Ross Burningham in June 2020. They became Instagram official in December 2020, when Lake posted a photo of the two of them along with the caption “Love.”

Fast forward a few months to May, 2021, and Lake posted another selfie on Instagram. This time, she showed off the beautiful engagement ring on her finger. She captioned the photo, “Well, friends, he put a ring on it! #engaged to my magnificent king. I am officially the happiest woman in the land. My dear Ross, I choose you today and everyday!”

Lake didn’t talk about exact wedding plans or a wedding date, but now, it is official. She and Burningham have tied the knot. She announced the news and shared photos of the big day on Instagram.

Instead of a traditional white wedding gown, Lake wore an orange dress and stood on a step stool during the ceremony. Meanwhile, Burningham wore khaki pants and a black shirt. Lake captioned the post, “We did it! 1/2/22 Ross and I said I DO!”

Lake seems to have no doubt that Burningham is the man for her. On “Watch What Happens Live,” she told Andy Cohen, “He’s wonderful. Everyone in my life who has met him just gets it. We’re great together.”

Lake previously told PEOPLE, “Ross and I literally pinch ourselves that we have found each other at this time in our lives.” She explained, “Both of us, newly empty-nesters, we feel as if we are kids again. We are filled with gratitude and joy for what is to come.”
