In the video, Deacon showcases his swanky college apartment, located in the upscale West Village. As he walks through the spacious rooms, high ceilings, and a unique spiral staircase, viewers couldn’t help but notice the opulence of the living space. The tour also revealed Deacon’s bedroom, doubling as a music studio, where he shared his passion for creating music.

However, the backlash ensued in the comment section, with some viewers accusing Deacon of avoiding the mention of his wealthy celebrity parents, Reese Witherspoon and actor Ryan Phillippe. One comment noted, “Rich kids/nepo babies LOVE to avoid mentioning their extremely wealthy parents,” while another added, “Let’s not forget that his mom and dad are wealthy celebrities. He could afford the whole place if he wanted to!”

Critics expressed disappointment with Deacon’s lack of transparency regarding the cost of his apartment. Despite admitting to paying “West Village prices,” some viewers believed it was a veiled acknowledgment that his parents were covering the expenses. One comment sarcastically suggested, “How much do you pay? The correct answer is: ask my mom and dad.”
