Experts Disagree On Whether Or Not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Were Booed at Platinum Jubilee Church Service

Over the weekend, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated 70 years on the throne with a Platinum Jubilee. The celebration included multiple events, and multiple members of the royal family were seen at these events as well.

One of the most notable events of the celebration was the royal family’s balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace. While 4-year-old Prince Louis stole the show, his younger cousins did not join him on the balcony.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to the Platinum Jubilee by the Queen despite the fact that they are no longer working members of the royal family, but they were not invited to join her for the balcony appearance.

Harry and Meghan took the Queen up on the offer to return to London for the Jubilee. While Harry has traveled to his home country a few times since relocating to California in 2020, this was the first time Meghan and the couple’s son Archie had returned to England. It was also the very first time their daughter Lilibet had ever been to England.

While Harry and Meghan weren’t allowed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, they were allowed to attend the Platinum Jubilee church service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Their children did not join them for the church service.

Inside the church, Meghan and Harry did not sit next to Harry’s brother, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton. Instead, they sat with Harry’s cousins, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice and their husbands. Insiders say Harry and William do not plan to interact with each other at all while Harry and his family are in England.

While the feud between the two brothers is notable, so are the feelings of the people of London about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. At the moment that the couple was walking down the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral to leave the church service, the crowd started booing. Page Six reports that the crowd was booing Harry and Meghan, but not everyone thinks that’s the case.

Watch the video below to hear the crowd booing for yourself and to hear why they may not have been booing Harry and Meghan after all.

Do you think the crowd was booing Harry and Meghan, or do you think they were booing the bus that was blocking their view? Does it surprise you that their children didn’t join them for the church service? Do you think Harry and William will ever get along again?
