The approach of summertime brings to mind some iconic images — hot dogs on the grill, fireworks exploding in the sky, friends gathered around a campfire, or waves splashing up on a sandy shore. And when it comes to idyllic summer retreats, nothing comes to mind more than a serene cabin in the woods.
Long before tiny homes were ever a trend, people who wanted to get back to nature would retreat to a rustic cabin, hidden deep in the woods, reducing their carbon footprint and living a minimalized lifestyle before either term became a popular buzzword. So we suppose it was only a matter of time before the traditional and the trendy came together in the form of a “tiny cabin.”
But we have to say, we’re so happy the result is as charming, useful, and smart as this one.
It combines the best of the old and the new, and it even has a full kitchen! It’s definitely a design we can get behind. Rich’s Portable Cabins gives us a tour of this North Carolina home.
Watch below and prepare to be amazed…and maybe a little bit jealous.
