The bald eagle is of course a very important bird in our country. But did you know that just 30 years ago, there were only 3 nests left in the entire state of Pennsylvania? Luckily with the help of the Canadian government, the Pennsylvania Game Commission and other helpful agencies, bald eagle chicks were brought back to increase their population in the Northeast. Currently, Pennsylvania boasts 250 nests, and here’s an amazing video of one of them. This nest, with 2 newly hatched eggs, shows nature at its best. We loved watching how tender the dad was once the mom went off (probably on a grocery run). Take a look:
