A North Carolina mother of 4 children has quite a reason to celebrate this week. When Marie Holmes, age 26, found out that she’d be collecting millions ($188 million paid over 30 years or a $127 million lump sum payment) as a result of her recent Powerball win, she “thought she was going to have a heart attack.” But when reality settled in, she realized her life was about to change forever.
One of Holmes’ first decisions was to quit her jobs at Walmart and Target to care for her 4 children (one of whom has cerebral palsy) full time. Next, she plans to set up college funds for her children, buy a new home and give money to her church.
What would you do if you won millions?
