Truth be told, most of us don’t even know what day of the week it is anymore. Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic of 2020, each day just blends into the next. Even the weekends are becoming a bit lackluster these days as stay-at-home orders around the country press on.

However, McDonald’s is making Fridays great again. That’s right, a day that used to be everyone’s favorite is going to, well, be everyone’s favorite again. Since we can all use a bit of cheering up (and probably some French fries too), the fast-food chain is offering the deal of a lifetime.

Now through June 28, McDonald’s will give you a free medium-sized fries with your purchase when you order on Fridays. They’re calling it “Free Fries on Fry Day.” Brilliant.

The only thing you need to do to get your free fries is to spend just one dollar and make the purchase through the McDonald’s app—and we all know how easy it is to spend a dollar at Micky D’s! Dollar menu, anyone?

Before placing your order and expecting your free fries, just be sure to check that your local McDonald’s to see if they’re participating in the deal, as only certain locations are.

McDonald’s isn’t the first fast-food chain to offer free food in light of the pandemic. Just last month, Chipotle gave away 100,000 free burritos to health care workers on the frontlines, and Starbucks was offering up free cups of coffee. We’re sure they won’t be the last, either!
