You know that feeling when you open a brand new jar of peanut butter? You almost don’t want to dip a spreader or spoon into it because the swirl is so beautiful.

You might admire the creaminess for a bit before the realization sets in that you have to ruin its aesthetic. Alas, one you make yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or throw a spoonful into your smoothie, the jar starts to lose its appeal.

Peanut butter fans know that the more you dig in, the uglier the jar gets. If you’re like I am, you might even open a new jar before the old one is done because of how frustrating the jar can get! Peanut butter begins to stick to the sides and you can’t quite get an even spoonful anymore and it’s just a royal, sticky mess.

However, one awesome hack that’s been going around on TikTok shows that we don’t have to do that anymore. In fact, there’s a super simple way to make sure any jar of half-eaten peanut butter looks brand new. It’s so simple and genius and we’re honestly so amazed (and thankful we came across it!).

The hack? Just spin the jar! That’s it—close it up and take it on a spin on your kitchen table.

When you open the jar back up, it’ll have that magical newness to it again—all the creaminess of your favorite jar of peanut butter evenly distributed in the jar. You might even be so lucky to get that signature swirl on the top.

Don’t believe us? TikTok users are going crazy over this hack, testing it on several different kinds of peanut butters—both chunky and creamy, as well as different brands—to see if it works on all of them. Spoiler alert: It does.

One tip: You do have to spin it with a bit of force, and make sure to spin it several times before reopening it. It’s something you need a bit of patience for (so we don’t recommend trying it when you’re hungry).

Anyway, prepare to be astonished. Check out the video below to see the spin hack for a jar of peanut butter in action!

Okay, we’re off to go spin our jar of peanut butter. Are you a peanut butter lover? Does it bother you when you have a half-eaten jar? Will you be trying this hack today?
